The National Gallery of Zimbabwe, established by an Act of Parliament in 1952, operates under the National Gallery of Zimbabwe Act (Chapter 25:09) and the Public Entities Corporate Governance Act (Chapter 10:31). As an MDA, it functions independently from the government while remaining accountable to Parliament. The Ministry of Youth, Sport, Arts, and Recreation serves as its principal regulator.
